Your high school senior year is about you. That is why you need to make the most of it. As a guy, you might think that there are no photoshoot wardrobe rules; oh, on the contrary. Through the years, I have noticed that there are 3 types of guy’s thoughts on clothes for a senior photo session. They are:

1. I do not think about what I will wear for photos. My mom takes care of that for me.

2. I know exactly what I want to wear.

3. I will only wear my favorite tee-shirt and jeans.

There are many things that I do to ensure that the photoshoot suits the specific guy. One of the big ones is that every senior receives a Welcome Guide that is full of great ways to get ready for a special photoshoot. It consists of tons of ideas on what guys should wear and also lots more great stuff to get you photo-ready. 

Before the session, I love to get to know my clients, their photoshoot wishes, and share my ideas for the best tailored photoshoot. I like to learn about the guy’s personal style, interests, and highlights so that everything is going to be designed with him in mind. 

Here on some great tips on things to consider:

• Know that shoes will be in some of your pictures. You want them to look good too. Make sure to go with shoes that you normally wear. Tennis shoes may be fine as long as they are in excellent condition. They should neat and clean just like your entire wardrobe.
• You can never go wrong with comfortable jeans.
• There will be time for an outfit change or two. Make sure that the shits that you wear are different so you can have different looks in your pictures. Go with solid colors as much as you can. It simply photographs better. You could wear shorts or khaki in one picture and jeans in the other.
• If you want to look fancy, go for a dressier option because this is the time to do so. However, you can stick to casual clothing too. There is no real restriction on what you can wear and cannot wear, just make sure that you feel comfortable and handsome in the clothes. 
• Guys can also wear layers. You could wear a sweatshirt and a jacket on top. It will look great.
• Sports uniforms or jerseys also can be used as an outfit choice. If you are into playing sports or have a favorite team, show it off! 

Finally, you must ensure that the clothes fit comfortably and look great on you. They should also be ironed to avoid pesky wrinkles.
