I'm Shaun Stockton —
Taking great pictures is my love language. I photograph high school seniors and their families who are celebrating a special milestone year in their lives.
I specialize in capturing the essence of high school seniors and their families as they celebrate this significant senior year occasion. My craft involves not just taking pictures but narrating their stories, ensuring that each image reflects precisely what they desire in exceptional senior portraits.

Don't let my size fool you, I am a fearless photographer who will happily lug my camera and 200mm lens all over the countryside to capture that perfect shot for you.
I only look good if you look good. So I will ensure that you are relaxed, comfortable, and I will capture you at your most photogenic... like you just stepped off the cover of a magazine.
I know how to find the most flattering sunlight for your images (hint: it's not always where you think it should be). This natural light is my all-time favorite way to illuminate my photography. When used correctly, is creates magic and will make you look amazing in your pictures.
And the best part? You will walk away not only looking good, but having some fun along the way. Yay!
Photography has been my passion since childhood. I was that kid who somehow convinced my parents to let me convert my bathroom into a darkroom long before digital photography became a thing (no age jokes, please). Yes, that even involved boarding up a window in the front of the house. Thanks, Mom and Dad!
When I'm behind the camera, I'm in my happy place. You'll have a blast because I'm having a blast. That's what working with me is all about and, indeed, what photography should be for all of us.
My ultimate goal? To be your go-to high school and college senior photographer!

I live in Winston Salem, NC with my better half, Chris, where you can find me planning a trip, snuggling with a cat, or chillaxing with a good book. I love hot coffee, date nights, and all things cozy!
Finding Bliss Behind the Lens:
Like most professional photographers, my journey began when someone gave me my first camera (mine was a Polaroid, I was 6 years old). Years later, I still feel the magic and excitement of taking a photograph that I am proud of.
Today, I am an award-winning, critically acclaimed, published, natural-light, professional portrait photographer. Whew!
My photography has been featured on the cover of Paris Chic Magazine and highlighted in spreads for numerous other magazines, including: Model Source, Kid Model, It Girl Model, Young Model, Iconic Child, Through the Lens: Fashion, Letiel, Bermuda Run Living Magazine, NBCC Foundation Magazine and Lipstick publications. In addition, my photos have been used for for Amazon Product Marketing, the Marc Defang Runway Featured Models, Child Model Magazine, and various other outlets.

My work has been consistently recognized by NPR 88.5 WFDD, earning the bragging rights of Photo Of The Week each year spanning from 2019 to 2025.
Notably, NPR has showcased my photographs in prominent exhibitions at esteemed galleries such as the SECCA Art Museum in Winston Salem, the Ambleside Gallery in Greensboro, and the BRAHM Blowing Rock Art & History Museum in Blowing Rock.
A source of great pride is the selection of one of my downtown photos by my hometown, Winston-Salem, NC, for inclusion in their citywide marketing efforts, highlighting the charm of our community.

In a more personal capacity, I've had the privilege of serving as the personal photographer for the accomplished Beauty Queen Champion, Faith Maxwell. Faith has claimed titles such as Miss Davie Teen USA, North Carolina's Miss Spectacular America, and emerged as a featured runway model at Fashion Week in Charlotte. Notably, she held the titles of Miss North Carolina Teen USA and Miss Piedmont Triad Teen USA.
I've also collaborated with the talented Allison Spears, a top 15 pageant winner of the esteemed Miss North Carolina USA competition.
Beyond my photographic pursuits, I've earned recognition as one of the world's top Adobe Photoshop instructors, securing the #1 top position for two consecutive years. This expertise ensures that I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to make your images look authentic and polished through an artist's eye.
