What Are Photo Sitting Fees?

A question that many of my clients ask me is, “what exactly is covered in the sitting fee?” 

Fair question. The answer depends on the photographer and what they offer in the initial photo package. 

So, What Is a Sitting Fee?

In the simplest of words, a sitting fee is a creative fee or session fee. It is the amount of money one has to pay for the photography session. What this basically means is that it only covers the photography service and excludes the photo products.

Sitting fees typically do not cover print photo products or high-end Photoshop editing.

Most other photographers will also charge an extra fee for the digital files. 

But I don’t treat my clients that way. 

I include the digital high-end resolution jpeg files and the initial editing of your images in your sitting fee.

The cost of a sitting fee varies and greatly depends upon experience of the photographer and what they offer in the sitting fee package. 

I include as much as I can with my sitting fee so you can enjoy your images without feeling nickel and dimed.
