Children grow up, blossom into adulthood, and begin the next chapter. Time is transformative and the enriched emotional value of high school senior portraits is priceless. Press the pause button.

Whether you are a teenager, or the parent of one, you will want to get a few family photos together of everyone during this milestone senior school year. Here are some of my favorite photoshoot ideas for students and their parents.

1. The Family Portrait
I like to start with the whole family together, hugging and laughing. A nice, cohesive picture of you with the whole crew can help capture precious memories. It is also perfect to use for holiday cards or mantle pieces in your living room. 

2. Visit an Iconic Location
Think about getting a family portrait taken in a place that means something to you, or just has the right vibes and the look that you are going for. There are plenty of amazing spots in Winston-Salem and Greensboro, NC that you can check out. 

Some of my favorite locations include Old Salem, Tanglewood Park, Hanging Rock, Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden, and Gateway Gardens. Let me know what look you want and I can give some great location suggestions for the perfect photoshoot spot.

3. Pictures With Just Mom & Just Dad
I love to take a few pictures of the senior kiddo with just one parent at a time. These cute and snuggly images are fantastic to use on social media for Mother's Day, Father's Day, and that parent's birthday. Moms and dads do so much for their families. If you want your parents feel special on their memorable days, theses images can go far in that consideration.
